How do I rent a bike from InstaBike?
You can either meet one of our team members at the InstaBike truck, or simply go to instabikes.com and checkout in less than 30 seconds! You also save money and skip the payment line when you book online. 1. Pay online at InstaBike.com 2. Show your electronic purchase code to the attendant at the truck (You can also check your email for a receipt) 3. Get your bike and enjoy the ride!
How do I rent an InstaBike online?
You can pay on your phone at InstaBike.com to receive an electronic purchase code. Simply show the code to the attendant stationed at the truck to get your bike. You will also get an email receipt and ticket confirmation with this information.
How do I find an InstaBike truck close to me?
You can check Facebook or Twitter. We post our location by 8:00am every morning.
Do you ever run out of bikes?
We do our best to always have bike in stocks. If we ever do run out of bikes (which is extremely rare) we will post it on social media immediately. So if you don't see a notice here, feel free to come on by!
Returning your InstaBike
Where can I return my bike when I am done?
You must return your bike at the truck where you received it. We’re going to allow you to drop off your bike at any of our locations shortly!
What happens if I return a bike late?
There is a late fee of $8 per hour, past the scheduled return time. If it's past 7 PM and the Bike Truck has already closed (left for the day), you can return the bike to our bike shop Bike Rental Central Park (892 9th Avenue, off of 58th Street) for a $20 fee. The shop closes at 9 PM, after which, you will be responsible for the bike for the rest of the night, and pay the late fee of $25 upon returning the bike the following morning to the InstaBike truck. (up to 24 hours from time of rental).
Insurance and Safety
What happens if I lose my bike or the bike gets stolen?
We suggest that you buy insurance for this reason. If you are not covered by our insurance policy, we will bill your credit card on file for $500.00.
How does the insurance work?
Our bike insurance is awesome and highly recommended! It covers 100% of any damage caused to the bike by any accident including potholes, road conditions, and unanticipated wear and tear. The insurance covers 50% of a lost, stolen or missing bike. The insurance includes limited roadside assistance in Central Park ONLY. In case of a problem with the rented bike, please call us at 212-664-9600 and inform us what is wrong with the bike and your exact location.

How old do I have to be to be able to rent a bicycle?
You must be over 18 years of age. If you are 18 or younger, one of your parents or a legal guardian must sign the Release from Liability form.
What type of bikes do you have?
Awesome, mostly new Trek Bikes. You have the choice of a male or female bike.
What should I wear?
Please wear something comfortable, not too loose and close toed shoes.
Do you have kids bike?
Not at this time! We hope to add these shortly.
What comes with the bike rental?
We provide you with a helmet, a chain lock and a map of the park absolutely free!
Do you offer discounts for larger groups?
Yes! If you have 10 or more people in your group, call our customer service team (212) 664-9600.

You can ride your bike wherever you please! If you need suggestions, take a free map or check with an InstaBike team member.
